GRADES 7 & 8 PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSE SYLLABUS

SEPTEMBER 4, 2019 – JUNE 26, 2020

FREQUENCY PER WEEK: 3 X 60 MINUTES

GENERAL INFORMATION:


  • Students will be changed into athletic attire for all physical activities in Physical Education class. Some of these classes will take place outdoors or at the M.E.C. and students will be expected to dress appropriately for the activity and environment that we participate in.
  • Students are expected to use equipment respectfully.
  • Gym office, equipment room, and exit doors are off limits to students unless given permission by the teacher.
  • All injuries should be reported to the teacher immediately.
  • No food allowed in the gym.
  • Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle to PE class.
  • Students must wear non-marking soled running shoes during Physical Education classes to prevent black marks on our gym floor.
  • Students will undergo three physical literacy and fitness appraisals this year; one in each term.
